Sandy Bottom Bark Park is located at 1255 Big Bethel Road in Hampton city. This park has a provision where you may take the leash off your dog so that he may run free. The dogs in this park are all home dogs with not strays. Every dog owner has to show paper work for getting his dog into the park, expecially when his dog is entering the park for the first time. The paper work will include animal registeration with the city of Hampton or of the area of residence and current record of health declaring that the dog has been vaccinated for Rabies, Parvo, Bordetella and cannine distemper.
As you may understand this park is a little assertive where rules and regulations are concerned. Besides cleaning after your dog, it is important to mention here that females in heat aren’t allowed here in the park. In addition, every dog must be accompanied by an adult above the age of 18. Children here are prohibited to run with the dogs and a child here must be over 12 years and accompanied by a parent. The park also holds dog owners responsible for any damage brought to property or injury brought about by their dog. The park claims to reserve the right to ask the dog owner or handler to take their dog away if it becomes too aggressive.
Overall, the park is really good, wide open area about ¾ acre for your dog to run loose. The visiting hours are 8am to 6pm. Here too your dog can play while you socialize. This place is good for your dog to exercise and exhaust himself and while you may never be able to tell when the day that every dog has will, if you are in the vicinity, you can surely help your dog by bringing him / her here. |
