There are many places people like to go on the weekend and it’s nice to take your pet with you if you can. A beach is a nice place to go on the weekends. Here you can have your tan and play with your dog off the leash if that is allowed. Rosie’s Dog Beach is the only Dog beach in the LA County where you can take your dog off the leash. This Beach was officially renamed Rosie’s Dog Beach on August 3, 2010; after the bull dog named Rosie, the dog who inspired the canine wonderland.
The beach is located on long beach, California. The parking here is easy with a free and pay park option. The people here are friendly and even the dogs here are friendly. People actually even look out for other people’s dogs and you are encouraged to do the same. The beach mostly sits under a clear blue sky and the sand is soft and brown. The beach is however not very clean and you may experience biting sand flees on the beach.
Some of the rules that you need to follow on this beach are as follow
Only one dog is allowed per person, if you have two dogs then you would need to get one more person.
The cones border mark the off-leash zone for dogs, so do not let your dogs wander outside the orange cones without a leash. The off-leash areas are to be entered between the two metal poles that hold the yellow flags at the parking lot.
Your dog needs to have his collar with tags of registration on at all times.
Dogs may cross the bike path but are not allowed to walk along it.
No aggressive dogs allowed.
The off-leash park timing for dogs is daily from 6am to 8pm. |
