Hampton park is located at the corner of Rutledge and Grove close to the baseball stadium. The place is a wide-open ground, which is grassy and sandy. People come here with their dogs and leave them leash free for a while. Since the ground is soft, the dog’s paw pads are not brusied, so even if your Dog has spent most of its life indoors, there is no problem even for those soft paw pads.

The Hampton Park Dog Run is more of a family than just a park. Here people bring their dogs and while the dogs play around, people sit on benches and socialize. You will find a couple of tennis balls in the park, which you may feel free to use to play with your dog. You may also bring in your own toys but as said earlier this is more of a family, so do not be surprised if you see someone using your dog toy for his dog because what goes around must come around.

Another important thing to keep in mind, is keeping the dog park clean. Just as for every provision there needs to be resposiblility, in the same way, you need to clean up after your dog poops in the park. The park does provide poop bags but sometimes they run short of these and so it is best left to precaution, to carry your own poop bags just in case, as you may not like stepping into dog poop while you loiter around the park, so too will others.

The park overall is fabulous and is a good place for your dog to spend his pent up energy, as this will help you have a more stable natured dog when he is at home. The park is most busy in the mornings and 5pm to 8 pm evenings.
